Apple Mail: Duplicate Draft Emails in Gmail Trash Folder

To prevent Apple Mail from creating duplicate draft emails in Gmail trash folder:

Open Apple Mail

Select Mail from the toolbar and then Preferences

Select Gmail account from the pane on the left

Select Mailbox Behaviors

Untick “Store draft messages on the server”
